Viral: Rajinikanth opens up about ‘Thalaivar 170’; Another maverick Mollywood star join the cast

The superstar of Tamil cinema, Rajinikanth, who is currently basking in the success of his recent release ‘Jailer’, has opened up about his next big project ‘Thalaivar 170’. The film, which is produced by Lyca Productions and directed by T.J. Gnanavel, has already created a lot of buzz with its star-studded cast and crew announcement.

As Rajinikanth headed for the shoot of 'Thalaivar 170', he graciously stopped to talk with the media, giving them an insight into his upcoming project. In a video that has since gone viral, the iconic star can be seen charmingly interacting with the press, leaving fans excited for what's to come.

He said that Thalaivar 170 is expected to be a huge hit with a great storyline. The success of the Jailer film has surpassed our expectations". He also added that the official title for the Thalaivar 170 movie will be revealed shortly.

The video has received a lot of love and appreciation from the fans, who are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of the title and the first look of the film. The film is expected to kickstart tomorrow and the film will release in  late 2024, and the fans are hoping to see their Thalaivar in a different avatar.

According to the sources, ‘Thalaivar 170’ is based on a true incident, and Rajinikanth will be portraying the character of a Muslim police officer, who fights against the evil forces in the society. The film will have a strong message and a gripping screenplay, which will showcase the versatility and charisma of Rajinikanth.

The film also boasts of a stellar cast, which includes some of the finest actors from the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries. The leading lady of the film is the Mollywood superstar Manju Warrier, who will be making her third Tamil debut with this film. Manju will be playing the wife of Rajinikanth’s character.

The film also has Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan, in important roles. Ritika, who impressed the audience with her performance in films like ‘Irudhi Suttru’ and ‘Oh My Kadavule’, will be playing a junior cop who assists Rajinikanth in his mission. 

The latest addition to the cast is Rana Daggubati, and another surprise element in the cast is the Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, who will be playing the main antagonist in the film. Fahadh, who is one of the most acclaimed actors in the Malayalam film industry, has also impressed with latest release Mamannan.  The music of the film is composed by the young sensation Anirudh Ravichander, who has already delivered some chartbusters with Rajinikanth.
