Viral: Dhruva Natchathiram is gearing for its second single release! Here's the awaiting update from the director

The wait is finally over as the anticipating the song release from the spy thriller ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’. The film, which has been in the making for over six years, has now resumed its promotions with a major update on its second single. The director took to Twitter to announce that the song, titled ‘His Name is John’, will be out on July 19th. The song is composed by Harris Jayaraj and is said to be the theme song of the movie, featuring Vikram as John, a secret agent.

The promo of this new song holds 20 seconds was also unveiled on the internet, giving a glimpse of the stylish and action-packed visuals of the film. The promo shows Vikram in various avatars, from a suave spy to a rugged fighter, as he embarks on a mission across different countries. The song also has a catchy hook line that goes “His name is John, he’s on the run”. 

‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ is one of the most ambitious projects of Gautham Vasudev Menon, who is known for his romantic genre hits as well as his cop action thrillers like ‘Kaakha Kaakha’, ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ and ‘Yennai Arindhaal’. The film is said to be inspired by the Hollywood franchise ‘Bourne Identity’ and has Vikram playing a character named John, who is part of a covert intelligence agency called ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’.

The film also stars Ritu Varma and Aishwarya Rajesh as the female leads, along with an ensemble cast of Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, R Parthiban, Divyadarshini, Arjun Das, Munna, and Vamsi Krishna. The film has been shot extensively in various locations like Chennai, Coonoor, Cochin, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Bulgaria and Georgia. The film’s first single, ‘Oru Manam’, which was released three years ago, was a melodious romantic number that showcased the chemistry between Vikram and Ritu Varma.

The film’s release date has been postponed several times due to various reasons, including financial issues, production delays and the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the announcement of the second single, it seems that the film is finally gearing up for its theatrical release soon. The fans are hoping that the film will live up to their expectations and will be a grand comeback for both Vikram and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
