Cinephiles are eagerly waiting for their upcoming film of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam ‘KH234’, which marks their reunion after 35 years since their cult classic ‘Nayakan’. The film, which is tentatively titled ‘KH234’, is expected to be a grand spectacle with music by AR Rahman.

According to sources, the script work of the film has been completed and the shooting will commence in August, after Kamal wrapping Indian 2 with Shankar. The film will be produced by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, under their banners Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. The film will be presented by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies.

The makers have not revealed any details about the cast and crew of the film, but there are speculations that Nayanthara has been approached to play the female lead opposite Kamal Haasan. If this is true, this will be the first time that Nayanthara will share screen space with the ‘Ulaganayagan’.

‘KH234’ is slated to release in 2024 and is one of the most anticipated projects in Tamil cinema. Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have both delivered blockbuster hits recently with ‘Vikram’ and ‘Ponniyin Selvan-1’ respectively. Fans are hoping that ‘KH234’ will be another masterpiece from the duo.

Kamal Haasan is currently busy with his ‘Indian 2’ where makers are working feverishly to wrap up filming by June or July. Mani Ratnam is gearing up for the release of ‘Ponniyin Selvan-2’, which is slated for April 2023. Kamal Haasan also has a number of promising projects in the works, including Vikram 2 with Lokesh Kanagaraj, and also rumours have that he will work with Malayalam director Mahesh Narayanan .
