Viral Buzz: Dhanush and Kamal Hassan to team up with this famed director! Here's what we know

The town is buzzing with excitement as three of its biggest stars are set to join hands for a new project. Dhanush, who is currently shooting for Captain Miller, will team up with director Nelson Dilipkumar, who is busy with Rajinikanth’s Jailer, for a film that will be produced by none other than Kamal Haasan under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

This is the first time that Dhanush and Nelson will work together, and the second time that Dhanush will collaborate with Kamal Haasan after the critically acclaimed Papanasam. The film is expected to go on floors next year, after Nelson completes Jailer and Dhanush wraps up his other commitments.

According to sources, the film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, who has composed some of the biggest hits for Dhanush in films like 3, VIP, VIP 2 and Maari . The DnA combo, as they are popularly known, will reunite after the last year hit Thiruchitrambalam, which raved at global level.

The film is yet to be titled, but it is said to be a commercial entertainer with a unique premise, suits the actor's signature style fused with the director's dark comic genre. Nelson Dilipkumar, who made his debut with the comedy thriller Kolamavu Kokila, has proved his mettle as a director with films like Beast and Jailer. He is also slated to direct Kamal Haasan in a separate project after this film.

Kamal Haasan, who is producing films with Simbu and Sivakarthikeyan apart from his own movies, has shown his keen interest in backing new talents and fresh scripts. He has also been busy with his political career and his upcoming films KH233 and Indian 2 and KH234.

Dhanush, who has been juggling between Tamil and Hindi films, has a slew of projects in his kitty. He will be seen next in Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheswaran, followed by D50, directed by himself He also has Tere mein ishq, and with Mari Selvaraj in Hindi and English respectively.

The trio of Kamal Haasan, Dhanush and Nelson Dilipkumar is sure to create a lot of curiosity and anticipation among the fans and the trade circles. An official announcement regarding the cast and crew of the film is awaited.
