Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi are all set to mark their OTT debut with this crime-thriller that will land on Prime Video. Titled, Farzi the series directed by Raj and DK, who is fame for The Family Man. Vijay Sethupathi in his pipeline, he also have his first HIndi debut with Katrina Kaif for 'Merry Christmas', which also to hit screens this year.

On February 10, 2023, the crime thriller will make its debut on Amazon Prime Video. The series that features Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi as leads is the actors' first foray into digital web series together. The series poster featured Vijay Sethupathi in a suits but sporting a mysterious look, where background carries the big theme Money.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Prime video unveiled the news by sharing an intruiging poster, where the caption reads, "Here to uncover the asli behind the Farzi #Farzi #FarziOnPrime" The show is being promoted as an original crime drama and is said to have eight episodes in total. 'Farzi' is being hailed as a work piece and crafty entertainer, set against the backdrop of rich versus poor and the quest to make it happen.

Speaking about the upcoming series, the creator of Farzi, Raj and DK said, "After a massively successful association with Prime Video for The Family Man, we are thrilled to return with our next new series! It’s one of our favourite scripts, which we have created with a lot of passion and shot through the ups and downs of the pandemic. Basically, a lot of sweat and tears have gone into making this series. We can’t wait for everyone to watch this series that’ll be out on Prime on February 10th."

Vijay Sethupathi also have another Bollywood debut, Mumbaikaar directed by Santhosh Shivan, which is an remke of Maanagram diected by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Talking about working in Bollywood, the actor earlier said, "It is going really well. I feel like a kid going to a new school, as the journey is filled with new learnings and explorations. Every day on set is a learning as well as surprising experience. Mera dimag aur dil, dono hi bahut khush hai about my Hindi debut. (My heart and brain, both are happy with my Hindi debut)."
