The web series has also roped in Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor as the parallel lead and Raashi Khanna as the female lead. 

According to reports close to the developments, Vijay Sethupathi has received Rs 55 crore as salary for the project of the web series. The web series has been titled 'Sunny' and directed by Raj and DK and the shooting will begin soon and will stream on Amazon Prime by the end of the year. 

While Vijay Sethupathi has got Rs 55 crore as salary, Shahid Kapoor has got Rs 40 crore, which is 15 crore less than the Tamil actor. The reports say that Kapoor had mentioned the clause in his agreement that there should be a hike if the series extends beyond one season. However, Vijay Sethupathi has decided not to opt for any hike. Vijay Sethupathi's market is growing at a skyrocketing pace and it had grown further after his splendid acting in Master where he clashed with Thalapathy Vijay.
