It's typical in Tamil Nadu to witness how the movie buffs, particularly youngsters, embrace and celebrate their favorite actors every time. It's undeniable that some fans would starve for the movies of their favorite actors to exemplify their love and affection which would, some times, erupt and have mounted heated arguments between the rival groups.
The incident that reported from Villupuram district shockingly revealed how the childhood friends suddenly turned to be rivals while backing their respective favorite actors. While no movies have been screened to celebrate their actors in the wake of the lockdown, they upheld their actors on who made more donations for COVID-19 relief efforts. The discussion went towards the heated argument resulting in a loss of life.
According to the reports, the incident happened on April 23rd in Marakkanam, Villupuram district where a 22-year-old Yuvaraj, who was a fan of Actor Vijay, and 26-year-old Dinesh Babu, who is an ardent fan of Actor Rajinikanth, had a heated argument on whose favorite star donated more for COVID-19 relief efforts and backing their actors had at a particular time went harsh.
The reports stated that the two men had begun abusing each other turning their friendship to rivalry for supporting their stars. The argument led to physical violence during which Dinesh Babu, a Rajini fan, has picked up a stone and hit Yuvaraj hard on his forehead leaving the major injury. Following the incident, Yuvaraj was taken to the nearest government hospital.
However, Yuvaraj was declared brought dead and the local police department has detained Dinesh and remanded him. The duo had been friends from their childhood and they live close to each other. The accused was an engineering graduate. This has been one of the examples of such clashes reported between the fan clubs of different stars in Tamil Nadu.
It must be recalled that Actor Vijay has earlier this week, donated Rs 1.30 crore as the COVID-19 relief efforts to the relief funds of the Chief Ministers of South Indian states whereas Actor Rajinikanth kept his contribution to the film unions both financial assistance and relief materials as the workers have been endured with economic instability over the complete lockdown that was imposed to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
