Vijay Devarakonda - Samantha's Kushi release date is here! Makers share the long awaited update

The wait is finally over for the fans of Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The makers of the duo's upcoming  'Kushi', have announced that the film will hit the theatres on September 1. The film will also have a pan-India release in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. The announcement was made by Mythri Movie Makers on social media along with a new poster featuring the lead pair.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the production home wrote, "Experience the Magic of Two Worlds Falling for Each Other #Kushi in cinemas from 1st SEPTEMBER 2023 @TheDeverakonda @Samanthaprabhu2 @ShivaNirvana @HeshamAWMusic @prawinpudi".  Vijay Devarkonda  shared the same writing, "#Kushi Sept 1st. With full love, @Samanthaprabhu2 @ShivaNirvana @MythriOfficial @HeshamAWMusic & your man."

The poster also hints at the contrast between their worlds as they stand against different backdrops. Samantha also shared the poster by taking us to Instagram, simply captioned 'Whole heart'. 'Kushi' is written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, who previously helmed 'Ninnu Kori' and 'Majili'. The film is a love story set in the valleys of Jammu and Kashmir. The film also stars Lakshmi, Murli Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Jayaram and others in supporting roles. 

The film marks the second collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu after their critically acclaimed performance in 'Mahanati', where they played pivotal cameo roles. It also marks the second collaboration between Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Shiva Nirvana after 'Majili', where she co-starred with her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya.

'Kushi' promises to be a refreshing and heart-warming romantic drama that will showcase the chemistry between Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The film was initially slated to release on December 23 last year but got postponed. The film resumed shooting earlier this year after Samantha Ruth Prabhu recovered from her health issues, as she was reportedly diagnosed with myositis, and now the movie is also anticipated to pick back up soon with crucial few scenes have to be roll.

After the massive flop of his previous film, "Liger," actor Vijay Deverakonda is seeking a winning streak. Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu on otherside have with several upcoming projects. Prior to 'Kushi,' the actress will be featured in 'Shaakuntalam,' a mythological romantic film adapted from Kalidasa's play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. Together with Dev Mohan, who plays Dushyanta, she makes up the Shakuntala duo. Gunasekhar helmed the film, and it debuts on April 14.
