Actor Dhanush is on cloud nine after a significant reception for his performance in the Russo brothers-directional 'The Gray Man' and with that same level of happiness, Dhanush has on Monday - July 23 unveiled a massive update from his upcoming movie 'Vaathi'. 

Taking the fans into agog, Dhanush has announced that the first look of Vaathi will be released on July 27 and subsequently, the teaser of the movie will be released on July 28, on the occasion of the actor's birthday. It’s been a busy season for Kollywood star Dhanush, who has been throwing primary updates about his projects and exciting his fans, as last month was all about Thiruchitrambalam, followed by his Hollywood feature ’The Gray Man’ which got under big victorious talks among his fans.

Bankrolled by Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, Vaathi is directed by Venky Atluri, who makes his directorial debut in Tamil through this movie. He is known for helming the movies like 'Tholi Prema' and 'Rang De'. While Dhanush plays the lead role, Samyuktha Hegde will be playing the female lead and GV Prakash is composing the music. 

The film also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Barani, and Samuthirakani. Vaathi has been touted to be a period social drama that talks about the education mafia. Dhanush is said to play a teacher in this film. It seems that actor Dhanush is playing the role of protesting the privatization of education and fighting against the mafia. The movie will be released both in Tamil and Telugu. As Dhanush will be celebrating his 39th birthday on July 28, the fans are all set to celebrate with the teaser of Vaathi. 

Dhanush and G.V. have already teamed up in the films Polladhavan', 'Aadukulam', 'Mayakkam Enna', 'Asuran' and 'Maaran' and gave sizzling hits. The GV Prakas- Dhanush Alliance has teamed up for the 6th time in this film, which made fans expect it to be something to celebrate.
