In a recent revelation, Director Vetrimaaran has officially announced that the commencement of his upcoming movie, featuring Suriya, will only kick-off post the release of 'Viduthalai Part 2.' Shedding light on the project, the director shared in a media interaction that certain flashback scenes for 'Viduthalai Part 2' are pending completion, and only upon their wrap-up will he initiate the shooting for the Suriya-starrer.
Presently, the pre-production phase for the upcoming film is actively underway, with a particular focus on animatronics work taking place in London, the director said. What distinguishes this process is the director's confirmation of adopting a unique approach to bring the envisioned cinematic elements to life. This meticulous attention to detail in the pre-production phase hints at the director's commitment to delivering a compelling film.
Meanwhile, Suriya, the lead actor in Vetrimaaran's upcoming venture, is currently engrossed in the shooting of 'Kanguva,' a film directed by Siva. The film stars Suriya in five roles, leading an ensemble cast that includes Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and others. The premise reveals that the film revolves around a warrior named Arathar Venkaater who lived in 1678 and died due to a mysterious disease.
The actor also has his next with Sudha Kongara, Purananooru and the film marks the trio of- Suriya, Sudha Kongara, and GV Prakash as their second film after their first venture Sooraari Potru, which won prestigious National award.
On the other hand, Vetrimaaran pacing up with Viduthalai Part 2 production duties, which stars Soori, and Vijay Sethupathi in key leads, where the second part roped Malayalam leading star Manju Warrier. The film is expected to hit theatres on January 2024.
