In what has become heart beating moments for the world's oldest democracy, the United States has been unfolding the climax of the tough-fought race to the White House as the whole world is watching the race, which is at its best, on who is going to take on the baton of the reign. 

The 2020 US Presidential elections, which have been dubbed as the important polls for the American voters in their lifetimes, at the final stage as the candidates - incumbent Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden have been chasing down the magical number of 270. As the polls were closed on November 3 with dramatic voters turnout and overwhelming numbers of early voting, most of the safe and swing states had done with their counting. 

According to reports close to the developments, Joe Biden's hands are on the rise as the former Vice President has either been holding a sharp lead against incumbent Trump in many western and eastern states while the central states had turned into red. By the time of writing this content, according to the Associated Press, Joe Biden has won 223 electoral votes while Trump had won 212 electoral votes. 

The race for 270 has come as a real battle against the rivals and most of the reports are highlighting that Joe Biden would be ousting the incumbent from the White House. No US election had drawn immense global attention like the current one as the race has been powered by the pivotal issues on the ground like the COVID-19 outbreak, ailing economy, racism, healthcare, and climate change. It has been expected that the final results will be out largely by Wednesday and it would be known who will be ruling the world's powerful country for the next four years. 

According to Reuters, Joe Biden has won the key states of California, Oregon, Washington state, New Mexico, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, Vermont, Connecticut, Illinois, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, and Colorado. While some of these are safe states, the states like Colorado and Washington state have been potential picks for Biden. 

On the other hand, Donald Trump has proven his stronghold in the central and southern states by sweeping the entire belt. In what has become a crucial victory, Trump has bagged Texas in his count after he was declared won in the state that has the second-highest number of electoral votes. According to the New York Times, Donald Trump has secured 52.2% votes in Texas against 46.4% secured by Biden. 

Adding to Texas, Trump has won the states like Utah, Nebraska, Louisiana, South Carolina, Alabama, the Dakotas, Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Kansas, Wyoming, Missouri, Mississippi, and Indiana. Though these states are safe for GOP, the states like Ohio, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, and Florida are on the watchlist as these states are crucial with the possibility of changing the game in the race to the magical number of 270. 

According to the Associated Press, Donald Trump has won Ohio with 53.5% against 45.1% secured by Biden and the incumbent has also been leading in the remaining crucial states as the race gets tougher by unfolding a high-level drama every minute. Reuters said that Trump is leading in the vital battleground state of Florida. When 93%   of the votes counted in Florida, Trump was leading Biden 51.2% to 47.8% and Trump has been expected to take the strong lead in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. 

It's a moment of refraining from early celebrations as the US has been unveiling the best race of the Presidential elections. In the swing states having the highest number of electoral votes, Donald Trump has been leading. However, it remains too early to call. At the time of writing the content, Joe Biden leads in overall electoral votes with 223 votes against 174 secured by Trump. Biden has won Hawaii and expected to win Arizona and if he wins Arizona, he would be sweeping the state under blue nearly after 24 years. 

Being the nail-biting fights, the swing states are keenly watched across the country and world. Edison's national exit poll found that support for Trump declined by about three points among older white voters, compared with 2016. Despite trailing in the overall electoral votes, Donald Trump, who is quite active on social media than other world leaders, took to Twitter and said, "We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!". Later, he removed the tweet.
