UPSC results out- Rahul Modi got the rank 420...No, we are not joking!

The UPSC results are finally out on Tuesday and while the results occupied the headlines, rank 420 occupied the social media and became the talk among the netizens - not of the usual talk of what it represents metaphorically but for the strange coincidence.

While the civil service aspirants searched for their names and ranks, it was one specific name that caught attention across the media over the top rank holders and that name is Rahul Modi and the rank he secured was 420 and these were seemed to be enough for the netizens to take the coincidence to the spotlight as for the first time, the candidate who scored 420th rank became the talk of the town, thanks to his name that united rivals Rahul and Modi.

Although the unification is one part, the rank he secured filled the vacuum of hitting the social media storm as the rank he got is well known that it would be used to describe a trickster metaphorically.

What more is needed as Rahul Modi has got the nationwide introduction that he doesn't require to introduce himself anymore as the netizens are sarcastically publishing the posts by uniting the rivals of the Indian politics.

As Rahul Modi has scored 420th rank, the reports stated that he will likely to get appointed to the Central services group. A total of 829 candidates have been shortlisted for the appointment in the various Central government services like IAS, IPS, IFS, and IRS among others. Pradeep Singh topped the IAS 2019 while Pratibha Verma topped among women candidates.

Of these selected candidates, 304 have cleared the exam in the General Category, 251 in the Other Backward Class (OBC), 129 in the Scheduled Castes (SC), 78 in Economically Weaker Section, and 67 in the Scheduled Tribes. The UPSC has released the recruitment notification for 180 posts of IAS, 150 of IPS, 24 of IFS, 438 in the Central Services Group A, and 135 in Group B Services.

The UPSC Civil Services exam 2020 was scheduled to be held on May 31. However, the exam was deferred to October 4 in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak.
