Uddhav Thackeray to sworn in as 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra!

The Chief of Shiv Sena party and the unanimous Chief Ministerial nominee of the tri-party alliance of Maha Vikas Aghadi, Uddhav Thackeray will be taking oath as 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Thursday at a grand ceremony hosted by the Shivaji Park as what it can be reported that the month-long appalling political developments have come to an end after the tri-party coalition of Congress, Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena staked the claim to form a government in India's richest state by outsing the BJP rule.

Uddhav Thackeray will be the first member from the Thackeray family to assume the office of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and he has become the third leader of Shiv Sena to hold the Chief Ministerial post after Manohar Joshi and Narayan Rane. After been proposed his candidacy with unanimity, Uddhav Thackeray would be leading the coalition government of Maha Vikas Aghadi. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the interim president of Congress party Sonia Gandhi and about 400 farmers from various districts of the state have been invited for the grand oath-taking ceremony that has been clocked at 6.40 pm on Thursday. Some of the attendees of the event are the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel and the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath and the opposition leader of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin.

On Tuesday, the state governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari consented the tri-party alliance to form the government after the resignation of BJP's Devendra Fadnavis by citing the lack of the majority numbers in the assembly. The MLAs of three parties have unanimously named Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister following which the grand event has been carpeted to witness the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Minister and some of the cabinet ministers.

By assuming the office for the first time, Uddhav Thackeray has brought the political uncertainty, aberrant developments, and the month-long power politics to an end and the sources have revealed that the Nationalist Congress party would be awarded the post of Deputy Chief Minister while Congress party will be holding the post of Assembly Speaker. The state governor has given time till December 3rd for Uddhav Thackeray to prove his majority in the house. On October 21st, the state of Maharashtra went for legislative elections for 288 assembly seats and the results that were declared on October 24th had revealed that no party had attained the majority mark of 145 seats. BJP got 105 seats whereas Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress had acquired 56, 54 and 44 seats respectively.
