The talented actor, Vijay Sethupathi just made his first debut on Hindi web series, Farzi is all set to make his debut in the Tamil web series world with a new project in collaboration with director Manikandan. The National Award-winning director and the Makkal Selvan will be joining hands for an upcoming drama series created by Disney Plus Hotstar.

The auspicious event of the series kick-off was marked by a traditional puja held yesterday in Usilampatti. The excitement surrounding this upcoming Hotstar Specials show is palpable, as fans eagerly await the on-screen magic that these two industry giants are sure to deliver.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Vijay Sethupathi and Manikandan have collaborated. They previously worked together in the critically acclaimed film, "Aandavan Kattalai" in 2016, and Kadaisi Vivasayi which was well-received by audiences and critics alike.

Vijay Sethupathi took to Twitter to share a photo from the puja and expressed his happiness about working on his first web series in Tamil. He wrote, “Happy to start my first web series in Tamil for @disneyplusHSTam, Directed by #MManikandan with an auspicious pooja!”. Manikandan is best known for having delivered critically acclaimed National winner  Kaaka Muttai.

Arumugakumar of 7C's Entertainment Pvt Ltd will be producing this upcoming series, which will feature music by Rajesh Murugesan and cinematography by Shanmugasundaram. They have B Ajith Kumar as their editor and Immanuel Jackson as their art director. Kavitha will be responsible for the costumes, and Ajayan K. Adat will design the sound for the web series.
