The newest word on the street in Kollywood has the release date of Vijay Sethupathi's upcoming film, "VJS 46," which has been fully completed and will be ready to release by the end of the year. The yet-to-be-titled project is bankrolled by Sun Pictures and directed by Ponram. 

The filming of this much-awaited flick began in March 2021 and was completed in February this year. Vijay Sethupathi never has to prove his riveting year of success. His earliest 2022 releases include Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Vikram, and Maamanithan, all of which were major box-office winners for the actor. The actor is currently engrossed in Merry Christmas, through which he debuts into Bollywood. 

Kollywood is filled with a trending update from his upcoming project 'VJS 46' about its release date. While the movie team has targeted to launch the film in the theatres within this year, our sources say that Sun Pictures has set December 2 as the release date. Along with the announcement of the release date, an official update regarding the title, first impressions, and teaser trailer will be made.  

The announcement about the filming was made public by Sun Pictures in March 2021 through an enticing motion poster that already hinted at the actor's participation in a cop actioner, which will be his third police action film after Sethupathi, and Chekka Chivandha Vaanam. 

Director Ponram is known for his comedy dramas, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Rajinimurugan, and Seemaraja. 'VJS 46' has Vijay Sethupathi and Anukreethy Vas as the lead pair while Pugazh and Shivani Narayanan are playing other important characters. D. Imman is scoring the music while Dinesh Krishnan handled the cinematography and Vivek Harshan the editing. Vijay Sethupathi is said to be playing the role of a rural cop in the film.
