Pichaikkaran is one of the most popular films of Vijay Antony, who is known for his unconventional roles and scripts. Fans are in for a treat as the sequel of this action drama is set to release in theatres very soon. This film also marks his directorial debut.

The film was initially slated to release on April 14, the Tamil New Year, but got postponed due to some unforeseen reasons. However, the wait is finally over as Vijay Antony has announced the new release date of the film with a new poster on social media. He took to Twitter on Friday, and wrote, "Trailer tomorrow at 11 AM Releasing Worldwide on May 19 #BLOCKBUSTER  #Pichaikkaran2 #bichagadu2" . 

The poster shows Vijay Antony in a rugged look, standing on top of the stack of coins, strongly hinting that the film's premise may revolve around the corruption in money business.  The film will also release in Telugu as Bichagadu 2 on the same date.

Vijay Antony has not only directed the film but also composed the music, edited the film and produced it under his banner Vijay Antony Corporation. The film also stars Kavya Thappar, Yogi Babu, Radha Ravi, Mansoor Ali Khan, John Vijay, Dev Gill and others.

The makers have already created a buzz among the fans by releasing a song and the first four minutes of the film as part of the promotions which has also garnered positive feedback from the viewers. It's worth to remember that the actor-director had suffered a serious injury while shooting for the film a few months ago but he recovered soon and completed the project.
