Dhanush hit the virality as he took the stage on 4th February for the audio launch event of Vaathi, his first bilingual by Venky Atluri. His ever charming stunning look, stole the show as like ever. Now the makers have the relishing update of the release date for film's trailer. Dhanush is currently outing for Arun Matheswaran's Captain Miller.

As per the official update, the trailer will be released on February 8th. Taking to Twitter on Monday evening, Sithara Entertainments which bankrolling the film shared the update by writing, "The D-mania is about to begin #VaathiTrailer / #SIRTrailer releasing on 𝐅𝐄𝐁 πŸ–π­π‘" The songs has been composed GV Prakash Kumar and lastly released single tracks were already a huge hit among the filmbuffs.

At the audio launch event, Dhanush spoke passionately about the value of education and how, after playing a teacher in "Vaathi,".The actor emphasized that the story takes place in the 1990s. Acting in this movie made me appreciate how challenging a teacher's job is. Our nation's educators are its true agents of change. He said that director Venky Atluri had initially tried to contact him while he was in lockdown to discuss the plot of the film, but that he had initially declined.

The film is slated to hit theatres on Feb 18th 2023. Vaathi is presented by Srikara Studios and produced by Suryadeva Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments and Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas. In this film from the 1990s, Dhanush portrays Balamurugan, a teacher at a young age. The leading lady is played by Samyuktha Menon. In Telugu, the film is titled Sir. Seven Screen Studio, owned by Lalit Kumar, acquired the rights to distribute the film in Tamil Nadu.
