Tamil ciniphiles  in for a treat as the much-awaited teaser of Pathu Thala was released today. Pathu Thala is a remake of the 2017 Kannada film Mufti, which featured the acting talents of Shivarajkumar and Sriimurali. Actor Simbu steps into the shoes of Shivarajkumar's character from the original film.

On Friday, the makers amused the buffs by revealing the teaser by taking us to Twitter, they wrote, "FIRE , MASS and everything CLASS! #PathuThalaTeaser NOW LIVE " Actor Simbu on Thursday piqued curiosity and shared his excitement and encourage audiences to brace themselves for an intense cinematic experience , he said "Just saw the teaser of #PathuThala All I can say is get ready for our #Bhai’s Sambavam @arrahman Thank you #GodFather" 

After working together on the soundtrack for the actor's previous film, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, AR Rahman is returning for his next film, Pathu Thala. Going by the teaser, the film's story centred on the lands of Kanyakumari and hinting the theme of owndom of power.

Bankrolled by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, The film also marks the first on-screen collaboration between Simbu and Gautham Karthik, who will be seen locking horns in the action-packed thriller. The star-studded cast also includes Kalaiyarasan, Umesh Kaushik, and Sundararajan in pivotal roles.

The plot of the original flick 'Mufti' centres on Gana, a police officer who must undertake a covert operation to track down and eliminate the crime lord Bhairathi Ranagal. Produced by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, Pathu Thala wrapped up filming in November of last year and slated to hit theatres from March 30th 2023.This is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of the year owing to its riveting plot from the director of Jillunu oru Kadhal and his take on this high-octane action genre.
