Trending Update: Makers share the exciting update on the sensational hit film Kantara's prequel!

Exciting news for the fans of the thunderous hit film of last year, "Kantara". As the makers announced earlier, they are working on a prequel to the hit movie. But that's not all - in a recent tweet, Hombale films revealed that they have now started work on the script for the second part of the "Kantara" series on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, the film was released on 30 September 2022, the film captured the hearts of audiences in India and around the world with its compelling storyline, breathtaking cinematography, and stunning performances. Now, the makers of "Kantara" have announced that they are working on a prequel and the script for the second part of the series.

The team shared a picture on Twitter, writing "On this auspicious occasion of Ugadi & New Year, we are delighted to announce that the writing for the second part of #Kantara has begun. We can't wait to bring you another captivating story that showcases our relationship with nature. Stay tuned for more updates," the tweet read. Rishab Shetty stars as the lead character Shiva, a champion of the villager's rights who goes up against the forest officer Murlidhar, played by Kishore, and is backed by the village's landlord in the first film.

With the prequel and the second part in the works, fans can anticipate more captivating storytelling and stunning visuals as the film's second part and focus on the origins of the demigods, gives the audience more to look forward to.  As per the statement of Vijay Kirangandur of Hombale Films, the prequel will be a pan Indian release which will be out in April or May 2024.
