The much-awaited update on Dhanush's Captain Miller is finally here. The makers have decided to sprinkle a dash of anticipation by unveiling the first look of this epic film on June 30, 2023. The official handle of Sathya Jyothi Films took to Twitter to share the date. They left fans buzzing with delight, as they revealed the long-awaited revelation date.
The production banner shared that, "The most awaited #CaptainMiller First Look on JUNE 30 , 2023 @dhanushkraja @ArunMatheswaran @NimmaShivanna @sundeepkishan @gvprakash @priyankaamohan @dhilipaction @siddnunidop." Captain Miller is written and directed by Arun Matheswaran, who made his debut with the critically acclaimed Rocky (2019).
The film stars Dhanush in the title role of a rebel leader who fights against the British rule in India in the 1940s. The film also features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, John Kokken, Nassar, Daniel Balaji and others in supporting roles.
The film is said to be Dhanush’s most expensive film to date, with a massive budget and grand sets. The film is expected to have high-octane action sequences choreographed by Dhilip Subbarayan. The music is composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar,and the cinematography is handled by Siddhartha Nuni and the editing by Nagooran Ramachandran.
The film was launched in September 2022 with a pooja ceremony attended by the cast and crew. The shooting of the film has been progressing in various locations such as Chennai, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi. The film is slated to release in November 2023.
Captain Miller is one of the most anticipated films of Dhanush, who has been delivering back-to-back hits in Tamil and Hindi cinema. The actor to next move on to D50, third Hindi debut with Anand L Rai, Tere Ishq Mein, Vadachennai 2, and an second venture with Mari Selvaraj.
