The Test, a sports drama directed by producer S Sashikanth, has added another star to its already impressive cast of Madhavan and Nayanthara. As the film is already making waves for its unique combo with anticipating premise, The Test also brings back the Aayutha Ezhuthu pair of Madhavan and Meera Jasmine, who played the pivotal couple in the Mani Ratnam film.

YNot Studios, the bankrollers of this film, shared the compelling poster of the actress, writing, "Happy to welcome on board #theTEST the super talented #MeeraJasmine ! ".  Interestingly,  Siddharth, who was also part of Aayutha Ezhuthu, will be seen sharing screen space with them after 20 years.

Meera Jasmine is known for her memorable performances in films like Run with Madhavan, Aayutha Ezhuthu and Sandakozhi with Vishal. She has also acted in several Malayalam films and is awaiting the release of Vimanam, a bilingual film.

The Test marks her comeback to Tamil cinema after a long gap. The Test is said to be a cricket-based film that will explore the emotions and challenges faced by the players and their families. The shooting of the film is currently in progress and the release date is yet to be announced.  Madhavan, who made his directorial debut with 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', is also working on a biopic of G.D. Naidu, a legendary inventor and industrialist.

Nayanthara, who is fondly called as 'Lady Superstar', has a slew of projects in her pipeline, including Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan', directed by Atlee, and 'Lady Superstar 75', which is her 75th film, and presumably with her husband and director Vignesh Shivan's next.  Siddharth, who was last seen in 'Navarasa', is awaiting the release of 'Indian 2', directed by Shankar, in which he shares screen space with Kamal Haasan.
