Chiyaan Vikram known for his versatile acting,  is all set to dazzle the silver screen with his upcoming film Thangalaan, a period drama set in the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields. The film is directed by Pa Ranjith, who is known for his socially relevant and hard-hitting films.

But what makes Thangalaan even more special is the music. The film’s music director is none other than GV Prakash Kumar, recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an exciting update about the film’s teaser. He wrote, “#thangalaan sambavam soon . One extraordinary teaser on its way soon …. @beemji @StudioGreen2 @chiyaan ….”

According to sources, GV Prakash has completed scoring the music for the teaser, which is expected to be released on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja. The teaser will give a glimpse of the film’s story, which revolves around the lives and struggles of the people working in the gold mines. The film also features an impressive star cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Parvathi Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, and Daniel Caltagirone.

The film’s shooting was wrapped up well in advance, but the post-production work is taking longer than usual due to the extensive visual effects and sound design. The film’s cinematography is handled by Kishor Kumar and Selva RK, while the editing is done by Selva RK.

The art direction is by SS Murthi, who has recreated the authentic look and feel of the Kolar Gold Fields. The film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green, in association with Ranjith’s Neelam Productions.
