"Powerhouse Addition"... Dhanush to collaborate with this big famed Telugu star for D51

Dhanush is all set to collaborate with the National Award-winning filmmaker Shekhar Kammula. The film, which is touted to be a bilingual drama, will mark the first time that Dhanush and Nagarjuna will share screen space.

Now the tinseltown has some exciting cast update, is that the Telugu legend Nagarjuna Akkineni roped for his upcoming film D51.  The makers took to social media on Tuesday and announced that they have roped in for the film. They wrote, “We needed a powerhouse for our pan-Indian for our pan-Indian project with Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula and who better than our very own ‘King.’'

"Wishing King Nagarjuna a very happy birthday! We are extremely excited to work with you once again! Can’t wait to get this show on the road!", they added. Dhanush, who is known for his versatile roles and impressive acting skills, has been busy with multiple projects in Tamil and Hindi. He recently wrapped up the shooting of Captain Miller, co-starring Priyanka Mohan, Shivaraj Kumar.

Nagarjuna, on the other hand, is one of the most popular and respected actors in Telugu cinema. He lastly  seen in Brahmastra Part one, Ghost. Shekhar Kammula is a critically acclaimed director who has made some of the most feel good films in Telugu such as Anand, Godavari, Happy Days, Leader, Fidaa, and Love Story.

He is known for his realistic and sensitive portrayal of human emotions and relationships. He has also won several awards and accolades for his work. The official announcement of D51 was made by the production house Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP earlier.

The fans of both Dhanush and Nagarjuna are excited to see their favourite stars team up for this project. They have expressed their curiosity and anticipation on social media platforms. The film is expected to go on floors soon and release in 2024.
