The much-awaited patriotic action drama ‘SK21’, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Kamal Haasan, has completed its first schedule of shooting in the scenic Kashmir. The film, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, is produced by RKFI of Kamal Hassan.

The director took to Twitter to share the news with his fans and thanked the crew, cast and the Indian Army for their support. He wrote, “Until next time, Kashmir Thank you for nurturing us! These 75 days of shoot have been surreal!,"

The film is expected to release in 2024 and is one of the most anticipated projects in Tamil cinema. Rajkumar Periasamy, who made his debut with the critically acclaimed crime thriller Rangoon. The film which promises to be an impactful portrayal of Major Mukund Varadarajan’s extraordinary journey. The film also stars Lallu, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav Venkatesh in pivotal roles.

The film, which is said to be based on a true story, has Sivakarthikeyan playing a soldier who fights for his country.  which also features Sai Pallavi as the female lead and others in important roles. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while the cinematography is handled by CH Sai,editing by Kalaivanan, production design by Rajeevan and action choreography by Stefan Richter.
