The much-awaited sequel to Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan despite the warm opinions on the director's version of climax, the epic is filling the box office tremendously. The film, based on the historical novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, boasts of a stellar star cast that includes Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aishwarya Lekshmi among others. The film chronicles the rise of Raja Raja Chola I, one of the greatest rulers of South India.

In latest development, the makers of Ponniyin Selvan 2 have now released a making video that gives a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes action of the epic saga. The video showcases the stunning visuals, grand sets, elaborate costumes and impressive performances of the actors. 

The video also features some candid moments of the director Mani Ratnam and the music composer AR Rahman, who have collaborated for the tenth time for this film. One of the highlights of the making video is the different looks and transformations of Aishwarya Rai, who plays Nandhini and Oomai Rani.

The actress is seen sporting various hairstyles, outfits and accessories to portray her character’s journey from a simple girl to a warrior princess. The film is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions which released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
