Dhanush, the multi-talented actor, has made his grand debut in Telugu cinema with Venky Atluri's Vaathi, which hit theaters on February 17th and received a great response from audiences. As the film's premiere on Netflix begins today, March 17th, 2023, the makers have released an exclusive deleted scene featuring a crucial scene from the film.
Sun Pictures which bought the film's satellite rights shared the minute-long scene that was cut, in which a student who had just received first place on an exam gives an emotional speech in front of his academics. He credits Balamurugan, his teacher, for his success rather than the more conventional Tirupathi coaching centre, exemplifies the profound influence that educators can have on the lives of their students.
Directed by Venky Atluri and with music by GV Prakash, Vaathi's plot is based on a true incident that took place in the 1990s, showcasing the struggle of a teacher who fights against the privatization of government schools. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead, while P. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, and Hyper Aadi make up an impressive supporting cast.
Vaathi is jointly produced by two leading Tollywood studios, Sithara Entertainments, and Fortune Four Cinemas. Adding to the excitement of Dhanush's fans, the actor is currently working on the production of his upcoming action-packed film, Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheswaran. The production has reportedly wrapped up for the most part, and the film will soon enter post-production.
Fans can expect an official announcement from the makers regarding the release date very soon. Furthermore, Dhanush is set to make his second debut in Telugu cinema with Sekar Kammula's next project. Additionally, he has a few more exciting projects lined up, including Vada Chennai 2 with Vetrimaran and his second directorial venture, D50.
