Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of his upcoming film Thangalaan, directed by Pa. Ranjith. The film, which is set in the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields during the pre-independence era, featuring Vikram promises to be a thrilling and inspiring story of the workers who fought for their rights and dignity.
The film’s title video, which was launched on Diwali 2022, created a huge buzz among the audience. The title teaser showed glimpses of Vikram’s character, in a spellbinding avatar where the plot revolves around the rebellion against the oppressive British regime. The film also features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, and Pasupathy in pivotal roles.
The director, who met the press in Chennai recently, announced that the film’s update will be out next week along with another teaser. He said that he was very happy with the way the film has shaped up and thanked his team for their hard work and dedication.
The film’s music is composed by GV Prakash, who has delivered some catchy and soulful tunes for the film. The cinematography is handled by Kishor Kumar and Selva RK, while the editing is done by Selva RK. The art direction is by SS Murthi, who has recreated the authentic look and feel of the Kolar Gold Fields. The film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under his banner Studio Green, in association with Ranjith’s Neelam Productions.
