In an exciting development, Dhanush has treated his fans with the first-look poster of his next film Captain Miller. Captain Miller is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language period action-adventure film written and directed by Arun Matheswaran. It stars Dhanush in the lead role along with Priyanka Arul Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, and John Kokken in supporting roles.

In a captivating poster, Dhanush commands attention as he grips a gun tightly in his hand, standing resolute amidst the chaos of a war-torn landscape. His piercing gaze exudes an intense determination, embodying the spirit of a valiant freedom fighter. Dhanush shared the poster on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Captain Miller First look ! Respect is freedom”. The film promises to be a thrilling and gripping tale of justice and revolution.

The film is produced by Sendhil and Arjun Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner. The film has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni, and editing by Nagooran Ramachandran. Captain Miller is expected to unfold its saga in two or maybe three parts, as per earlier reports.

The film is set in the 1930s and revolves around the life of Captain Miller, a fictional character inspired by the real life LTTE rebel Captain Miller. The director has earlier clarified that the film is not a biopic, but a fictional story based on historical events. The film is said to be Dhanush’s most expensive film till date and will have some stunning action scenes.

The film was officially announced in July 2022 and the shooting began in September that year. The film was shot in various locations in Chennai, Tirunelveli and Tenkasi. The film is slated to release in November 2023.
