After impressing audiences in Vikram, Maamanithan, and a handful of other films last year, Vijay Sethupathi keeping his fans rejoice by promising several new and highly anticipated films for release in 2023. According to the most recent reports, the actor will be working with acclaimed 2017 film Kurangu Bommai director Nithilan Swaminathan on his next project. 

Sources says that the director with Vijay Sethupathi film is speculated to be titled Maharaja. The highly anticipated film's cast includes Vijay Sethupathi, DOP Nataraj, Munishkanth, and Aruldoss among others in prominent roles. The film is reported to be an action drama and it went on floors last month, and the team is currently working on the shooting schedules. More updates on the project are expected in the coming days.

Kurangu Bommai starred Vidharth, Bharathiraja in the lead roles, which fallen for positive critic reviews especially Nithilan's perfect non-linear hyperlink narration won appraises. As Vijay Sethupathi, known for his exceptional acting skills, and with the buzz around the movie and the excitement of the audience, it is undoubtedly going to be a highly anticipated film.

The actor's career seems to be on an upward trajectory, with  juggling multiple projects at once as he has also made his way into Bollywood, such the first Hindi series debut just released and he will be seen in 'Jawan' alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Furthermore, the actor has a few projects in the pipeline such as 'Merry Christmas', 'Gandhi Talks', and 'Mumbaikaar', which are set to release soon. Additionally, reports suggest that Vijay Sethupathi also have two new films that will be directed by Vignesh Shivan and Gautham Vasudev Menon respectively.
