Suriya, the versatile actor who has won the hearts of millions with his stellar performances, is all set to join hands with the mass director Boyapati Srinu for a new project. According to media reports, the talks are in the final stage and an official announcement is expected soon.
This will be the first time that Suriya to collaborate for a Telugu film and fans are eagerly waiting to see what kind of magic they will create on the big screen. Boyapati Srinu is known for his high-octane action films with powerful dialogues and emotional drama.
His last film was Akhanda, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pragya Jaiswal. He is also working on his next film Skanda, featuring Ram Pothineni and Srileela, which is said to be a romantic action entertainer. Suriya, on the other hand, has two more films lined up for release.
Suriya is also to be seen next in the upcoming film ‘Kanguva’, which is a period action drama, is slated to hit the theatres next year in 3D and in 10 languages. The film also stars Disha Patani, Bobby Deol and DOP Nataraj in pivotal roles.
The music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Made on a budget of ₹350 crore (US$44 million), Kanguva is the fifth most expensive Indian film to date. The film will also be dubbed and released in 10 languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and English.
Kanguva is expected to be a game-changer for Suriya’s career, as his last release was Etharkum Thunindhavan and Vikram, which were huge hits. Suriya is also busy with other projects, such as Vaadivaasal directed by Vetrimaaran, and Suriya 43 said to be directed by Sudha Kongara.
