The rising star of Kollywood, Aditi Shankar, is all set to romance the versatile actor Suriya in his upcoming film with director Sudha Kongara. The film, which is tentatively titled Suriya 43, is expected to be a thrilling drama based on true events.

Aditi, who is the daughter of ace filmmaker Shankar, has already impressed the audience with her debut film Viruman opposite Karthi. Now, she has bagged the opportunity to work with Karthi’s elder brother Suriya. Suriya 43 will mark the second collaboration between Suriya and Sudha Kongara, who delivered a blockbuster hit with Soorarai Pottru last year.

The film, which was a biopic of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, won multiple National Awards and received critical acclaim. Suriya’s performance as Nedumaaran Rajangam was widely praised and he also won the National Award for Best Actor for his role.

Sudha Kongara, who is known for her realistic and engaging storytelling, has reportedly said that Suriya 43 is the most passionate film of her career and Suriya is also very excited about it. Suriya 43 will also feature another talented actor from the south, Dulquer Salmaan, who will be sharing screen space with Suriya for the first time.

Dulquer, who is the son of Malayalam superstar Mammootty, has acted in several Tamil films such as Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, OK Kanmani, and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. He has also hinted at his involvement in Suriya 43 during a recent event in Chennai. The film will have music by GV Prakash Kumar, who will be scoring his 100th film as a composer. GV Prakash has also worked with Sudha Kongara in her previous films Irudhi Suttru and Soorarai Pottru.

Aditi Shankar, who is currently shooting for her third film with director Vishnuvardhan, has expressed her happiness over being part of Suriya 43. She has also signed a new film with director Ramkumar of Raatsasan fame. With these projects in her kitty, Aditi Shankar is surely on a roll and has a bright future ahead of her. She will be the fifth actress to pair up with both Suriya and Karthi after Anushka Shetty, Pranitha Subash, Kajal Aggarwal, and Rakul Preet Singh.

Suriya 43 is expected to go on floors in October this year and will be produced by 2D Entertainment. Suriya is currently busy with his other films such as Kanguva with director Siruthai Siva and Vaadivaasal with director Vetrimaaran.
