Sivakarthikeyan, is all set to wow his fans with his upcoming patriotic drama, tentatively titled SK21. The film, which is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Sony Pictures Films India and R Mahendran, is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who made his debut with the critically acclaimed crime thriller Rangoon.

The latest exciting sources from the town has that the film roped Rahul Bose, who played the villain in Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam, as the antagonist. SK21 features Sai Pallavi as the female lead, and marks her first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan.

The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by CH Sai, editing by Kalaivanan, production design by Rajeevan and action choreography by Stefan Richter. The film’s shooting commenced on May with a pooja ceremony attended by Kamal Haasan, who sounded the clapboard.

The film is currently being shot in Kashmir, where a two-month long schedule is planned. The film is said to be an intense and emotional story that will showcase the performer side of Sivakarthikeyan as an army officer.

Sivakarthikeyan has a busy line-up of films ahead of him. He is awaiting the release of Ayalaan, a sci-fi film directed by R Ravikumar, and Maaveeran fantasy drama directed by Madonne Ashwin. Both these films are expected to hit the screens later this year.
