Actor Sivakarthikeyan, who has won fans over with his comic relief, romantic, and action chops, is ready for a new role. In his upcoming film, SK21, he plays an army officer in what is being billed as a gripping action drama set in the 1960s.

The film, which is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Rangoon fame. where Sai Pallavi plays the leading female role. According to speculations, G.V. Prakash Kumar will be the composer, which marks his first collaboration with the actor. 

The most recent reports from film insiders' suggests that Sivakarthikeyan is spending the next 20 days in Mumbai getting trained for the role he is peering to take on in the film. He will undergo training in many aspects of army life, such as combat, weaponry, and physical fitness, among other things. The region of Kashmir is where the majority of the film will be shot, and production is scheduled to begin there the month after next.

SK21 is expected to be a high-octane thriller that will showcase Sivakarthikeyan in a never-seen-before avatar. The actor, who has a huge fan following among the family audience and youngsters, is aiming to expand his horizon with this film. He is also have his next release Maaveeran with Madonne Ashwin. The film is said to be debut theatres on the occasion of Diwali 2023, possibly clash with Karthi's Japan, and Dhanush's Captain Miller.
