Shah Rukh Khan stars in both leads of the upcoming action thriller Jawan, directed by Atlee Kumar, which also features Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani in pivotal roles.

The latest word on the street is that the makers will release its first teaser trailer in the first week of May. According to sources, the teaser will showcase Shah Rukh Khan’s two contrasting characters - father and son. The film is said to be a cat-and-mouse game between the two, with Vijay Sethupathi playing the main antagonist. Nayanthara will be seen as an investigating officer, while Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani will also play the pivotal roles.

While the teaser will give a glimpse of the high-octane drama, the trailer of Jawan will be released in mid-May, which will reveal more details about the plot and the characters. The recent reports says that the film will be wrapped up by today. The film also has some special appearances by Deepika Padukone, Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt.

It is reported that Vijay will be seen on screen for about 10 to 20 minutes in 'Jawan'. The music of Jawan is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who has collaborated with Atlee for the fourth time after their successful Tamil films, and  GK Vishnu is handling the cinematography. Jawan will be released in five languages - Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. 

Jawan is produced by Gauri Khan under Red Chillies Entertainment and is one of the most expensive films ever made in India with a budget of around Rs 200 crores. The film has been shot across various locations in Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. Jawan marks the Hindi debut of Atlee and Nayanthara and is expected to be a blockbuster at the box office, as it is slated to hit theatres on 2nd June 2023.
