Nayanthara, the reigning queen of South Indian cinema, is all set to conquer Bollywood with her second venture with a sensational director and stars. It's worth noting that the actress who played a remarkable role in the action-packed Hindi movie 'Jawan' directed by Atlee has been approached for a significant role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period film 'Baiju Bawra'.

This is undoubtedly an excellent opportunity for her, and we can expect her to deliver yet another fantastic performance on the big screen. The musical periodic drama, set in the 1950s, stars the hot pair Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles.

The film is a remake of the 1952 classic of the same name, which narrates the story of a young musician who challenges the legendary singer Tansen to a musical duel. Nayanthara’s role in the film is yet to be revealed, as she hasn't signed the film as per sources. But sources say that it will be a pivotal one that will showcase her acting prowess and glamour.

According to Bollywood media reports, Nayanthara has met Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Mumbai a couple of times and is likely to sign the film soon. ‘Baiju Bawra’ is already in shooting mode and is expected to hit the screens early next year. The film will mark the reunion of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt after their blockbuster ‘Gully Boy’ in 2019.

It will also be the fourth collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’. Nayanthara, who has a huge fan following in South India, is known for her versatile roles and bold choices.  She is currently working on several projects, including ‘The Test’, ‘N75’, and ‘Wikki6’ and she recently ventured to her own skincare brand.
