The comedy actor Yogi Babu, is all set to tickle funny bones with a new political satire film, directed by none other than H Vinoth, the maker of critically acclaimed films like ‘Theeran’ and ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’. The film, which is yet to be titled, is said to be a hilarious take on the current political scenario in the country, with Yogi Babu playing the protagonist.

Interestingly, Vijay Sethupathi to do a pivotal role in the film too, as per reports. The script work for this film is in progress, and the shooting is expected to start soon. This will be the second political comedy film for Yogi Babu, who earlier impressed the audience with his performance in ‘Mandela’, which was a huge hit on the OTT platform.

The film also won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. However, the fans of H Vinoth might be wondering what happened to his other projects, namely ‘KH 233’ with Kamal Haasan and ‘Theeran 2’ with Karthi. According to sources, both these films are on hold for now, as the actors are busy with their respective commitments.

Kamal Haasan is currently focused for ‘Indian 2 and 3’, Thug Life, and Kalki 2898AD, while Karthi to work on ‘Sardar 2’, directed by PS Mithran, and Theeran 2. It is unclear when H Vinoth will resume these films, but it seems that he has decided to go ahead with the political comedy film with Yogi Babu, as it is a low-budget and quick project. The rest of the cast and crew details are yet to be announced.
