After seven years of anticipation, the fans of Chiyaan Vikram can finally rejoice as his spy thriller Dhruva Natchathiram is all set to release soon. The film, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, has been in the making since 2016 and has faced several delays due to financial and production issues.

However, the makers have now resumed the work on the film and have reported  that a new trailer with two single tracks will be launched on June 17, 2023, during the Malaysia concert of Harris Jayaraj, who has composed the music for the film. And the sources say that the film to hit theatres on July 15, 2023.

Dhruva Natchathiram is one of the most ambitious projects of Gautham Menon, who has envisioned it as a franchise. The film revolves around John, a New York-based undercover operative who leads a team of spies to rescue their leader who has gone missing. The film features Vikram in multiple roles as Dhruva, John and Joshua, and also stars Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, R. Parthiban, Simran, Dhivyadharshini, Vinayakan and Arjun Das in pivotal roles.

The film has been shot in seven countries across various locations and promises to be a high-octane action thriller with stunning visuals and gripping sequences. The film also boasts of a stellar technical crew including cinematographers Jomon T. John, Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, editor Praveen Antony and art director Rajeevan.

Dhruva Natchathiram is expected to be a game-changer for Vikram and Gautham Menon, who have both been going through a rough patch in their careers. The film is also eagerly awaited by the fans of Tamil cinema who have been longing to see a spy thriller of international standards from their own industry.
