Dhanush, the versatile actor who has been ruling the Tamil cinema industry for over two decades, is all set to surprise his fans with his upcoming film ‘Captain Miller’. The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films banner, is said to be a period drama set in the pre-independence era.
According to reports from Vikatan, the first look of the film is expected to release in the coming week, creating a huge buzz among the audience. The teaser of the film is also planned to release on Dhanush’s birthday, which falls on July 28. The fans are eagerly waiting to see their favourite star in a new avatar as a freedom fighter.
The film’s plot is only set in the pre-independence period and not in the 90s and present, as some rumours suggested earlier. The film will showcase the life and struggles of Captain Miller, a brave and patriotic leader who fought against the British rule. The film will also feature Samyuktha Hegde as the female lead, who plays a journalist and Dhanush’s love interest.
GV Prakash Kumar composed the film, Priyanka Arul Mohan plays the female lead while Sundeep Kishan, Nivedita Satish, John Kokkan and Moore, Kumaravel, Daniel Balaji, Nasser, Vijay Chandrasekhar, Suwayamsita Das, Bindu, Arunodayan plays the supportive roles. Siddhartha Nuni and Nagooran handles the camera and editing respectively, and stunt choreography is in charge of Dhilip Subbarayan, and has the dialogues by Madhan Karky.
‘Captain Miller’ is one of the most anticipated films of Dhanush, who has been delivering back-to-back hits in recent times. He was last seen in ‘Vaathi’, a romantic comedy directed by Venky Atluri, which received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike.
