In a first for both Suriya and Siruthai Siva, the release of a special effects-laden promo video last year ignited a period brilliance for the big screen. The tentatively titled Suriya42 has all level of high expectations for the fans to see their favorite actor to portray a warrior role in the 3D historical fantasy.

According to IMDB, A warrior in the 1678 dies due to a disease, in the present a girl does research on the disease which killed the warrior in 1678. While Disha Patani was officially announced as a female lead, now the latest talk in the rumor mill has that Mrunal Thakur of Sita Ramam fame to be seen along with Suriya.

However there is no official confirmation yet regarding the cast deets. The movie is bankrolled by UV Creations and besides Suriya and Disha Patani, Redin Kingsley, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, and Anand Raj would play significant roles and Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music. Earlier as per reports, the two schedules of shooting has completed in Chennai and Goa and Srilanka and the next high octane action sequences to be shoot at Ennore port.

Speculations suggest that the roles of Arathar, Venkatar, Mandangar, Mukattar, and Perumanathar appeared on the film's recently released motion poster would be the five characters Suriya will play in a 1000 years back tale. In spotlight of all buzz, the film is rumored to be titled as 'Veer'.
