TN Police seized the vehicle of the EB officer, in return, he shows his 'power' and cuts-off electricity to the police station!

As a move of retaliation for the action of the local police, the official of the electricity department had cut-off the power supply to the police station after the cops had seized his vehicle and the issue later had the intervention of the district collector following which the power supply has got resorted. 

According to the reports, the incident had happened in Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu on last Thursday where the police officials attached to the Koomapatti station had been patrolling the area and involving in the vehicle checks during which the police stopped three men who were traveling in the same motorbike, which belonged to the worker of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation. 

The police identified that they had neither wore helmet nor possessed necessary documents for the vehicles or their driving licenses. The police said that the vehicle didn't have the number plate or the registration number after which they seized the vehicle and taken to the police station. As the vehicle didn't have the registration number, the police haven't registered an FIR immediately. 

Hours after the vehicle was seized, the assistant engineer of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation had called the Koomapatti police station and appealed the officials to release the seized vehicle. However, the police had informed that the vehicle can only be released only after proper documentation was disclosed. 

The incident happened on Thursday night and at around 8.00 to 8.15 pm, the police station had lost the electricity supply and when the police thought the disruption was a power cut, they later got revealed that the power supply was cut by the staff of the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation as a retaliatory move against the police officers who seized his bike. 

After knowing the development, the police station had taken the issue to the attention of the Superintendent of Police of Virudhunagar after which the SP took over the matter to the District Collector. Following the development, the district collector had intervened in the matter and eventually, the police station got back the power supply after two hours and the reports say that the police had moved it's against the particular electricity worker to the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation demanding the body to initiate action against the officer who reportedly took the power in his hand and cut-off the power supply in the police station.
