TN CM EPS makes major announcement: ADMK gets ready for the race!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami is all set for the crucial elections for him and for the party as he has announced that he will launch his party's campaign for the 2021 assembly election on Saturday from his home district of Salem.

The upcoming assembly polls will be the first legislative elections in the state since the demise of Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi and the first legislative election for Edappadi Palaniswami as the Chief Minister. Amid queuing up of challenges and internal disputes, Edappadi Palaniswami has been hoping to retain the reign and form the ADMK government for the third consecutive time.

Being pushed to meet allegations at the campaign trail, the Chief Minister is ready for the election campaign after he officially unveiled his new plan. Speaking to reporters in Salem on Friday, Edappadi Palaniswami said that he is going to start the campaign from the Edappadi legislative constituency on Saturday following a request from the party workers.

Responding to a question on the alliance, the Chief Minister said that his party's alliance with the existing constituents, including the BJP, will continue for the upcoming assembly polls. The major announcement from the Chief Minister has come when he had already been covered most of the districts through organizing the government events and unveiling the brand new 'mini-clinics'.

With the lack of prominent faces, the state ruling party had recently witnessed unprecedented disputes for the Chief Ministerial race that eventually ended with declaring Edppadi Palaniswami as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the party. The ADMK would be facing a heated race with the DMK, which is hoping to oust the ADMK regime and take over the reign after a decade.

The current ADMK alliance was formed in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and the alliance includes BJP, Ramadoss-led PMK, and Vijayakanth-led DMDK and the Chief Minister has asserted that the alliance will continue. As it has been expected that Tamil Nadu will be facing the elections in April-May next year with a multi-tracked race as along with the decades-old parties, actors and political newbies Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will also be contesting in the upcoming polls.

Edappadi Palaniswami is getting ready for the race at a high time when VK Sasikala is getting ready for the release and the ruling ADMK would also face a political storm after the release of the jailed leader and amid such challenges, Edappadi Palaniswami is all set to start the campaign from his home district of Salem on Saturday.
