TN BJP leaders under shock as the party said 'no' to H Raja and removed him from the top post!

In what has become a shock for TN BJP leaders, the Central leadership of the ruling party had dropped off the leaders from the southern state in the new team of national office-bearers, which was announced by BJP National President JP Nadda on Saturday.

The mechanism of a major reshuffle to its national grid had seen the elevation of some of the leaders while some of the national office-bearers weren't lucky enough to retain the berth. The shuffle has come days ahead of Bihar assembly polls with some other states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are also months ahead from hosting the legislative elections.

According to reports, the BJP had introduced new faces to its grid from the states where the party is trying to enhance its base amid the stronghold of the regional parties. Tamil Nadu is one of the states where BJP is claiming to emerge as a powerful party. The southern state has always been an enigma for the Central ruling party in gaining a victory. However, the new team of national office-bearers announced by BJP President JP Nadda has no one from Tamil Nadu.

In what has been seen as an apparent boycott, the Central leadership has shocked the state leaders by dropping off the office-bearers from the state. Having said that, H Raja is one of the leaders who had now lost the national post. Raja was one of the national secretaries of the BJP party and has been in the spotlight through his controversial remarks. He had been in the post for over two years and the BJP high command had dropped off his name while picking up the new national team.

The Central ruling party has increased the number of national spokespersons to 23 and MP Anil Baluni has been elevated as Chief spokesperson and he remains as the in-charge of media. The BJP party has eight general secretaries and the post of general secretary has been crucial as it plays an important role between linking the state and central leadership.

The current list of national office-bearers has five new faces to the post of national secretary while secretaries Bhupender Yadav, Arun Singh, and Kailash Vijayvargiya have been retained. The faces that were removed from the post of the national secretary include Ram Madhav, H Raja, Muralidhar Rao, Anil Jain, and Saroj Pandey.

In a major change, BJP MP from Karnataka Tejasvi Surya has been appointed as the President of the party's youth wing and Surya would be replacing Poonam Mahajan. Senior BJP leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been appointed as BJP National vice-president whereas Pankaja Munde, the daughter of former Union Minister Gopinath Munde, has been appointed as the party secretary.

BJP has inducted NTR's daughter Purandeshwari into the national list by picking her one of the party's national general secretaries along with Assam MP Mangaldoi Dilip Saikia and Tarun Chug, a senior leader from Punjab. Dushyant Kumar Gautam from Haryana and CT Ravi from Karnataka have also been appointed as general secretaries.

According to reports, this has been the first and major shuffling drive of the BJP since JP Nadda took office as the BJP National President nine months ago. The current team has been built by 60% of new faces. While BL Santhosh continues to remain as the national general secretary of the organization, Rajesh Aggarwal has been appointed as the treasurer of the party whereas Sudhir Gupta has been appointed as the joint treasurer. After the announcement was made, Tamil Nadu BJP leader H Raja, who has been removed from the top post, took to Twitter and congratulated the new office-bearers
