With these challenges, Dhoni nears to set a new record: CSK vs RCB would be a real clash of captains!

It would be a real clash of captains as former Indian captain MS Dhoni and his successor Virat Kohli will be competing against each other for the first time in the current season of the IPL as both the teams would be unleashing its capabilities to add two more points to their tally and for Dhoni's army, it's a must-win with no plan B and with no second thought as the CSK should have a strong resurgence in the upcoming matches to reserve a berth in the play-offs.

The match would be the 25th match in the series and would be hosted by Dubai International Stadium on Saturday. With having been faced enough episodes of defeats, Dhoni's men in yellow are pushed to set a winning momentum, which would be possible only by fixing the middle order of the batting line-up and as RCB has been packed with some of the dangerous players, CSK would ought to face a setback if it fails to build the comeback of what it had when playing against the Kings XI Punjab.

As the opening order of the batting line-up has shown the sign of stable partnership with Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis are in form,  the second-in-line batsmen -particularly Kedar Jadhav must revive back to have the surety that he would be having an unhindered cricketing career in future. At the current state, CSK is at the sixth spot by recording two victories and four defeats while RCB is at the fifth place with six points and if RCB wins, it could enter the list of top four teams while CSK needs at least two consecutive victories to get placed in the top four list.

The main challenge for MS Dhoni would be in picking the playing XI and if he includes Kedar Jadhav, who has shown consecutive poor shows, Dhoni might run through criticism if he fails again by giving a chance to Jadhav amid having some of the star players including Dwayne Bravo, Mitchell Santner, and Jagadeesan. CSK has been chasing throughout the series and as the team has become close to Dubai, Dhoni must grip his squad to have full control and dominance against the opponents.

Apart from the best squad, fans desperately need their captain's knock as Dhoni is still yet to unleash his real form, which is one of the challenges for him. Though KKR set an easy target in the previous match, the batting line-up had disappointed the fans after it failed to chase the score and conceded the defeat by ten runs. On the RCB side, Kohli's army would strongly play to win the game after facing a defeat against Delhi Capitals.

Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Aaron Finch, and Devdutt Padikkal have been pillaring the batting line-up while RCB's bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal, Isuru Udana, Mohammed Siraj, and Navdeep Saini have the capabilities to restrict the CSK batting line up from putting the high score on the board. As both sides have legends and talents, it's going to be a real clash of the captains with no short of thriller and excitement.

If you look for a particular watch-out, players like Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Yuzvendra Chahal would be the players to watch out for during the game as these players could potentially change the game towards their respective teams. You can possibly witness some of the milestones during the current match.

MS Dhoni is near another milestone as he would be completing 100 IPL catches as captain if he takes two catches during the current match. He is also short of three dismissals to complete 150 dismissals in IPL. Faf du Plessis is just one catch away from completing 50 IPL catches while Virat Kohli needs 7 sixes to bring up 200 IPL sixes and AB be Villiers requires 4 catches to complete 100 IPL catches.
