The films belong to different genres and have some popular stars and directors in the lead roles. Here is a brief overview of the films that are releasing on Tamil New Year 2023:

Rudhran:

This is an action thriller directed by S. Kathiresan and starring Raghava Lawrence, Sarathkumar and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The film has music by G.V. Prakash Kumar and is produced by K.P. Thirumaran. The film marks the comeback of Lawrence after a long gap and promises to be a racy entertainer with some social messages.

Thiruvin Kural:

Yaanai Mugathan:

This is a fantasy comedy directed by Regish Mithila and starring Yogi Babu, Ramesh Thilak, Urvashi and Karunakaran. The film has music by Bharath Shankar and is produced by GM Film Corporation. The film features Yogi Babu as Lord Ganesha and Ramesh Thilak as his devotee who is an auto driver.

Tamilarasan:

This is a long-awaited cop thriller directed by Babu Yogeswaran and starring Vijay Antony, Ramya Nambeesan, Pranav Mohanlal, Sonu Sood, Suresh Gopi and Yogi Babu. The film has music by Ilaiyaraaja and is produced by Karan C Productions.
