Tamil Nadu is scheduled to hold assembly general elections at the end of April. The Election Commission is expected to make an official announcement on the election by the end of February. 

Arrangements are enhanced to uphold Assembly general elections in Tamil Nadu. Accordingly, for 234 constituencies, the Election Commission has announced the appointment of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers. 

Voting machines are being set up in all 234 constituencies. The Chief Electoral Officer has stated that all will be ready in the first week of February. 

In a letter to all District Electoral Officers (Collectors), the Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, Satyaprada Sagu, said, “Election Commissioners and Assistant Returning Officers have been appointed for all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. This information has been made available to your view (collectors). ”
