As the judgement and quantum of the sentence have been pronounced against Kiran Kumar, Vismaya's father Trivikraman Nair has said that he was satisfied with the verdict.

Justice Sujith had held Kiran guilty of three charges including dowry death while two other charges 323- punishment for voluntarily causing hurt and 506- criminal intimidation were not included in the verdict.

As these events had brought to light that the evil practice is pushing women into the abyss, the state has been taking measures to abolish dowry. 

Pinarayi Vijayan said, "We must build up a generation of high knowledge and ability and it's the responsibility of all of us to ensure that there is no place for inequality." 

Vismaya's death had shaken the soul of Kerala and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had expressed his grief and told the reporters that the recent dowry deaths were shocking.
