The upcoming legislative election is the first assembly polls for MK Stalin as DMK President and the state will be going to the polls on April 6th and the votes will be counted on May 2nd.

The DMK party is planning to provide 18-20 seats for Congress and the strong deadlock implies that the deal between Congress and DMK is not in sight.

The presumptive list of candidates has come to light one day ahead of Amit Shah's visit to Tamil Nadu. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be visiting Kanyakumari on Sunday.

However, DMDK has been displaying a fashion that it will not exercise alliance with ADMK if its demand is not met. 

The BJP has displayed that it is ready for the polls to accomplish its hope of earning representation both in the assembly and in the Parliament from Tamil Nadu.

ADMK had allotted 23 seats for PMK and as ADMK had inked with BJP, the state ruling party has also a major challenge ahead- reaching a deal with Vijayakanth's DMDK. 

Tamil Nadu will be going into polls on April 6 and the votes will be counted on May 2, during which the winner will be announced.

These were the factors through which Panneerselvam had predicted that a favorable situation has now arisen for the ADMK to win the polls.

Sasikala announced her decision on Wednesday and said that she has decided to stay off from active politics with the view of establishing Jayalalithaa's golden rule in Tamil Nadu. 

The DMK has inked seat-sharing agreements with three parties including VCK and the other two parties are Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK).
