He outlined, "These seven persons have already suffered untold hardship and agony in the past three decades and have paid a heavy price."

The Chief Minister has considered her appeal and the official release from the government has said that Perarivalan has been granted 30-day ordinary leave. 

However, the Governor has on Thursday decided to stay off from acting the recommendation of the state government and passed the ball on the court of President Ram Nath Kovind.

The Governor has been surfaced with expectations on how he is going to decide the fate of Perarivalan and the other six convicts who are serving their imprisonment for the past three decades.
