The opposition parties had staunchly slammed the Central ruling BJP and blamed Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for spying the fellow ministers and journalists in the country.
The media agency has also said that the Indian phone numbers found in the database include 40 journalists, two sitting Union Ministers, three major opposition figures, several businessmen, and a sitting judge.
