Eight opposition party leaders led by Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge had met Venkaiah Naidu and urged him to repeal the suspension.

Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu expressed his unhappiness over the affairs of the house in the previous session.

Ahead of the session, Prime Minister Modi had asserted that his government is ready for the constructive discussion and urged the opposition to extend the co-operation for the session.
